Fsx Taxi2gate Ltba Istanbul 100 Working Completely
Recently ORBX released their FTX Global lights configuration tool vastly improving the quality of the lights for FTX Global. However, I have recently discovered performance issues when the lights are enabled which means for the time being at least, I have disabled them. One specific example is on approach to runway 23 at Istanbul (LTBA) with Taxi2gate superb addon scenery.
With FTX lights enabled frame rates will fluctuate between 30 and 17 resulting in stuttering. The only solution I have found other than to turn the lights off is to reduce Autogen to sparse but this makes the scenery very bland indeed. Using the NVInspector utilty to set profiles for nVidia cards gives much more control over the rendering of graphics in the sim. There are many guides that describe good profiles for FSX and most pretty much follow the same settings.
